ok, so guys, what is Database ??
Database model include :
- Hierarchical database model is information organized into a tree-like structure (using parent/child relationship) in such a way that it cannot have too many relationships.
Hierarchical Structure
- Network database model is a flexible way of representing objects and their relationships.
Network Structure
- Relational database model is stores information in the form of logically related two-dimensional tables.
Relational Structure
- Database advantages from a business perpective include
- Increased flexibility
- Increase scalability and perfomance
- Reduced information integrity (quality)
- Increased information intergrity
- Increased information security
Data Driven web-sites is an interactive Web site kept constantly updated and relevant to the needs of its customers through the use of database.
Intergrating information among multiple database is allows separate systems to communicate directly with each other,there are two :
- Forward Intergration is takes information entered into a given system and sends it automatically to all downstreams and processes.
- Backward Intergration is takes information entered into a given system and sends it automatically to all upstreams systems ans processes.
here's the example of forward and backward intergration :
so, we can conclude that without integration an organizational will spend considerable time entering the same info in multiple system and suffer from the low quality and inconsistency typically embedded in redundant info.
